Giampiero Angelici (with the pseudonym of Giam de Vin) was born in Rome on the 15th of October 1969 in the old part of Rome near the “Fori Imperiali”. Around the age of thirteen, he began admiring the old roofs of the houses and domes of Churches in the city. He began doing technical drawings and
sketching but then was sent to a commercial school.He returned to art and drawing thanks to his wife Livia because, being the daughter of a great maestro, architect Bruno Begnotti, illustrious designer and a capable painter; it’s in the architect’s private studio that Giam de Vin
again finds his love for art and through many painting of copies of famous painters, his journey stars, thanks to the advice given by the maestro, and the study of oil and distemper painting. This passion is aimed mainly at the impressionist landscape painters authors of the Italian nineteenth century, but most of all, the Macchiaioli.The artist studied landscape, characteristic corners of Isola del Giglio, using, latterly distemper. He has also produced copies of Borrani, Boldini, Abbati, Corot, Manet, Monet and De Nittis.
